You Don’t Need Weight Loss Tips (Or, More Nutrition Information)

End the searching and scrolling. It’s just another form of consumption.

One of the first things I did when I quit dieting was to unfollow and unsubscribe from all the apps, diets, coaches, and workout accounts I’d been subscribing to.

I felt an immediate sense of lightness from that decision. I was free of the constant outside pinging, and could now listen to my body.

It allowed me to calm down and quit outsourcing my needs to faceless apps and bad ideas. I began to pay close attention to how I reacted to various foods and rediscovered what hunger actually felt like (and how to properly handle it).

The goal was to eat without having to count or weigh my food, have that consistently produce a healthy weight, and never deny my hunger.

What I found was that the more I created simple measures for making good decisions, the easier it was to make good decisions day after day.

The modern world is designed for weight gain so intention and forethought are necessary to keep your healthy weight. I’m happy to report systems for living produced the long-term results I was looking for.
