We’ve all read these headlines before:
- ‘Reduce your screen time with this powerful habit’,
- ‘Get more productive with this morning routine’ or
- ‘Follow this habit to become a millionaire’.
After a moment of initial euphoria and the first implementation of those recommendations, the disappointment hits us pretty quickly. Because we all come to the same conclusion: somehow these tips don’t seem to work for us. At second glance, it’s clear why:
There is no one-size-fits-all solution.
This is also true when it comes to healthy smartphone habits. Different people have different needs and goals. A healthy and fulfilling smartphone use looks completely different for you than it does for your sister, for Lizzo or for Ryan Reynolds.
Habits are personal. Habit change should be, too.
Each individual has his or her very own relationship to his or her smartphone. While some people get lost in social media, others feel distracted by their phone at work.
If we want to change our habits in the long term, we have to meet these needs. And this is exactly what we do in our themed courses.
Course 1: Healthy Smartphone Habits
In this course, you’ll learn the basics of smartphone habits. What are impulses, what do they have to do with waves and phone use? What is the habit loop? After completing this course, you will know your individual triggers and practical methods to adapt your smartphone habit to your needs, and maintain it over the long term.
Course 2: Digital Mindfulness
Ommmmline. This is what this course is about. Learn techniques and methods to use your smartphone more mindful. Be in the present moment, with and regardless of your smartphone. Your breathing, the supermarket queue, social media and your friends play a role here. Which role? You’ll find it out in this 10-day course.
Course 3: Working in Flow
This course will help you to get into the flow state not only in spite of, but with the help of your smartphone. To clear the way for maximum focus. Train your focus with practical techniques and find out where your distraction comes from — outside of your smartphone.
Course 4: Social Media
No bad vibes anymore. In this 10-day course you will learn how to develop a healthy relationship with social media that brings you pleasure and reduces risks. Because social media can also support you instead of distracting you from the important things. Among other topics, it is about active and passive use, authenticity, social comparison and how to deal with envy.
Course 5: For parents
For many parents, the smartphone is one of the most important tools for organizing everyday life. In this course, you will learn how to use your smartphone together with your child without feeling bad and guilty. For healthy smartphone use in the family.
With small steps to big changes
Each course consists of 10 exercises and challenges, each lasting about five minutes. After all, healthy habit change does not require big changes. We work step by step. Session by session. You pick the pace of learning yourself. You can do one exercise and challenge every day, or every other day, for example. Whatever works best for you.
Here they are, the first five courses.
The next five are already in progress:
- Video Binge Watching
