I saw the future there — (with the help of Szilvia Basso)

Predicting what will happen in 2025 is easy because it’s so close to 2024, but it’s also risky because people will keep you accountable at the end of the year.

Predicting 2125, on the other hand, is hard but risk-free because everybody will be dead, which happens to be my first prediction:

1. Anyone reading this article will be dead by 2125
2. Actually, this platform will also be dead.
3. So will Google and Netflix.
4. (and ChatGPT)
5. (and 21st Century Fox — replaced by 22nd Century Guinea Pig)
6. But should Medium survive for 100 years, I have a backup plan. I scheduled this story for publication 100 years from now!
7. My great-grandchildren won’t believe their bank accounts when the earnings drop. That will be the ultimate passive income.
8. BTW, my great-grandchildren won’t be on Mars because nobody will be there.
9. Except for a dozen more rovers.
10. And the terraformation won’t have begun.
11. Sorry, not sorry, Elon.
