Creativity is the start of faking mistakes
When art meets ‘oops’ in the best way.
I’m blessed with a creative gene. I love creating something from nothing, whether it’s turning a piece of cloth into a dress or splashing and spreading paint on canvas to make something colorful to hang on my wall.
Nowadays, of course, other than my writing, my creative outlet is my bullet journals. Give me one of those books with dotted pages, and I can turn it into the perfect work of art, just like I always write perfect stories!
But I don’t. And I won’t.
Why not?
Because perfection intimidates people. It makes them feel inadequate and triggers their envy. They turn their view inward and see their personal limitations. They question their own abilities and worth.
But don't take my boastfulness to heart. I’m here to inspire, not intimidate, after all.
They say to improve your craft you have to get out of your comfort zone — stretch those creative muscles, and when you do, you will grow as an artist.
Or a writer.
But what to do when you are already perfect?
I’ve found a way.
