Welcome to Not Too Soon
Looking forwards to fix the problems of the past.
The climate crisis is accelerating.
We cannot solve it by changing the way we live.
Therefore, our only hope is the application of science and technology.
Unlike almost any other challenge that humanity has space, the application of technology to climate change is time bound, emphasising just how important it is to start evolving now. The right solutions in 30–40 years time will be, frankly, too late. There are many ideas, some already proven, some nascent, both technological and scientific, that will need to play a part in a multi-faceted effort to reduce greenhouse gas production, to remove previously produced emissions from the atmosphere, as well as reversing the destruction of our planet.
However, the investment in both research and development, and in scaling of these ideas, is for the most part still reliant on decisions that follow a very profit-driven mindset. We believe that it is Not Too Soon to push forward with a broad range of ideas. Many of these may not be successful, but for those that do, having started sooner rather than later, could bring a true difference to the planet and to us.
Over the coming months we will explore some of these ideas, and challenge the slow pace of engagement by companies governments and institutions.
