This muddy mind o’ mine
You used to love me a little bit
sometimes it’s like I imagined it
cause it was quite some time ago
I’d tell my myself you’re just a dream
I made you up or so it seemed
but I got this bathtub polaroid to show
my radio keeps wailing how
it must have been love but it’s over now
if only I could see that I’d be fine
but I can’t help but reminisce
about your loving tenderness
which clearly clouds this muddy mind o’ mine
somehow, somewhere along the line
you went ahead and changed your mind
your lonely heart no longer needed me
now I don’t know what I did wrong
that made you have to say so long
the love is gone, that’s pretty plain to see
my radio keeps wailing how
it must have been love but it’s over now
if only I could see that I’d be fine
but I can’t help but reminisce
about your loving tenderness
which clearly clouds this muddy mind o’ mine
my mind may well, if left unchecked,
erroneously recollect
a love so true that you’d remember too
have you forgotten everything
cause even if it was just a fling
I sure as hell can’t stop thinking of you
my radio keeps wailing how
it must have been love but it’s over now
if only I could see that I’d be fine
but I can’t help but reminisce
about your loving tenderness
which clearly clouds this muddy mind o’ mine
