Marketing positions are poised to disappear in the next decade for a few reasons:

  1. Most marketers don’t do much and CEOs can easily fill in for them.
  2. Marketing can be automated.
  3. Most companies don’t understand marketing.

For example, McDonald’s used to make and run ads without knowing whether they were working.

Only in 2024 did they decide to keep track of their data.

So, should you become a marketer?

If you have no skill, you’re probably better off following a one-month barista class than becoming a marketer. AI will never be able to make coffee as good as you will.

But if you enjoy writing content and researching stuff as I do, then marketing may be a good fit for you.

I’ll explain here how you can become a full stack marketer within the next six months without a marketing background.

1. Know Where to Get the Knowledge

Marketing is the sum of activities that put a product in front of people’s eyes. It’s the first stage of the customer journey.
