I dig through the library’s digital catalogue to get my hands on three books, but the ones my heart yearns for are not listed. I wonder what to read then. I wished I could go to a bookshop to buy Ana Blandiana’s poetry or some work by Yannis Ritsos. Here it is my blow of reality: I experience fatigue every day at work. My back hurts and my eyesight suffers. Besides I do not have any energy left for reading. I yearn to feel self-reliant and not to be attached to anyone, but here one has to feel the agony just to earn the minimum wage. To do what with time? What can we retain? I think Yannis Ritsos was inquiring along these lines. At times I wonder for what reason we have to waste so much of our lives in a company — is there a point to it? Alas, I keep forgetting that I was meant to share some literary impressions. But about what to write if all my poets are hiding under the tired eyelashes?

Literary Goal for May — ☕ tip of appreciation

📖 Octubre, noviembre, diciembre (1972) by Ana Blandiana

About the literary goal: I find that I simply love books more than anything else and that it would be unfair to my soul if I would not read them. Therefore, it comes to my mind the idea of creating a literary goal. Every month I intend to acquire a book — the purchase may be made by my own efforts, that is to say, through writing. If you find my commitment rewarding and decide to support me, you are welcome to invite me for a coffee. Thank you for your kindness!
