To build an enviable social presence, think like a founder-CEO of any social platform.

For every social media manager / ecom entrepreneur trying to crack social media: just think like the CEO/founder of that social platform.

Seriously.

Every social platform has one big goal: acquire and keep users.

Users stay with Facebook or Insta or Snapchat because the founders/CEO of these companies focus on one thing: acquire and keep users. And they do this with one thing: showing the users exactly the type of content they like to see. Let’s call this “glue content”.

Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, Twitter, IG — everyone uses a variety of methods (called algorithms) to figure out what you — the user — like to see. The more you see things you like, the more you’ll come back, the more you’ll stick around.

And they use this to decide whose content to show. Even if you follow a hundred brands, Facebook (kind of) knows which brand’s content you’d like to see and that’s the brand that reaches your newsfeed. Ditto on other platforms too.

So all you need to do to reach your fans is to know what they’d like to see. Which, in many ways, is thinking like the founder/CEO of every social media platform. In fact, of every community.
