Key Takeaways from The Email Design Conference

For the third year in a row, I was fortunate to attend the Email Design Conference presented by Litmus. Each year we are innundated by some of the best email marketing designers and developers in the world. Email marketing is one of those areas where there are a 100 ways to skin a cat. Everyone has their own best practices, and this conference allows us to see how everyone achieves their own unique goals.

Looking at this year’s attendee list shows how important this conference is. Global companies like Salesforce, eBay, Hilton, Google, and Twitter send representatives to learn from the best. One of the best parts of these conferences is hearing how email marketers at “major” companies have the same day-to-day problems that the rest of us have (I’m looking at you, Gmail).

This year there are two distinct tracks: Marketing and Development. I bounced between the two tracks and logged some of the best ideas that were presented.
