Drew Seeley Is the Honorary Seventh Cast Member of “High School Musical”

I should’ve given him credit much earlier than this.

I grew up in the age of the “High School Musical” phenomena.

I’m not ashamed of this. I embrace it actually.

Even though the Disney Channel musical trilogy took the world by storm fifteen years ago, it’s story and popularity continues to linger.

As big of a fan I was at the time, and still am today, I refused to believe this fact:

Zac Efron didn’t sing in the first installment.

Drew Seeley did actually. He sang all of his songs while Efron still acted and lip synched.

Even though Efron acted in all three films and sang in the final two, Seeley contributed more to the franchise.

Seeley Went On Tour

Honestly, thank goodness Seeley did sing for Efron in the first film.

As it became more popular, “High School Musical” embarked on a global tour. Efron didn’t go due to his involvement in the 2007 musical “Hairspray.”

Seeley stepped in and sang for Efron along with the film’s other cast members:

  • Vanessa Hudgens
