“I Don’t Feel Like Writing Today”

Have you ever said this to yourself?

“I don’t feel like writing today.”

I know I have a time or two. Okay, make that several times over the course of my young writing career. I felt ashamed to say it.

It almost feels so weird to say something like that. It’s like we’re giving up on our writing, our skills, and our time spent on the craft.

But guess what?

We’re not.

It’s completely fine to feel like this. It’s a part of the writing process. Here’s why it’s okay to not feel like writing on some days:

Most of us stay consistent on Medium. We spend our days creating new ideas, writing new stories, and engaging with other writers.

This is great. But it can be draining much of the time.
