Over two million curated icons, created by a global community.

Since Noun Project was founded in 2011, we’ve been on a mission to create, share and celebrate the world’s visual language.

Inspired by co-founder Edward Boatman’s sketches, Noun Project’s original collection featured just 513 icons. Noun Project has since grown to become the world’s best-known resource for visual communication — a place where anyone can find the icon they need to communicate any idea quickly and easily.

From the very beginning, the platform has been focused on collaboration and community. Over the last eight years, our creator community has grown by thousands, contributing from more than 120 countries around the world, all helping to build the most diverse collection of icons ever.

This week we’re thrilled to be celebrating more than 2 million curated icons, created by our global community 🎉 Thank you creators for reaching this milestone with us!
