How My Brand New Car Got Wrecked the Day After I Bought It 😡

And why my insurance won’t pay for it

I bought it brand new off the showroom floor, a 2024 Nissan Versa. I was so happy not to have to be riding the bus, walking, or paying for Uber rides anymore.

That’s it in the pic with the badly dented bumper and a big dent in the hood. I hadn’t even had it 24 hours before it happened.

I wasn’t driving

My son was just making a quick trip to the store in my car. He wasn’t even gone 10 minutes when I saw his name come up on my phone. I was quick to answer and when I did, he gave me the bad news.

“Yeah, I’m at 28th and Gardenia. Some lady ran a stop sign, and we had a wreck. I am so sorry,” he said.

And I go… “Aww hell naw! But are you all right?”

It was so unfair. It felt like a kick in the stomach. I work so hard and struggle so much and I finally get to a point where I can get a car, that I really can’t afford for real, and this happens.

It sucked.

I told him I’d be around there shortly. His location was within walking distance, so I put my shoes on, grabbed my purse, and walked the five blocks to the scene of the wreck.
