Today started like any other day — coffee, a quick scroll through my phone, and a mental pep talk to face the world. I should’ve known better. By the time the day ended, I had officially confirmed something I already knew, and that’s people out here on the roads have lost their damn minds.

I was off work today so I was on my way to run a few errands, nothing too exciting. It was cold but the sun was shining, traffic wasn’t terrible, and for a moment, I thought, Maybe today will be one of those smooth-sailing days. Well, scratch that. I was wrong.

So, I’m sitting at this light, minding my business. It’s one of those intersections where you can just feel the chaos waiting to happen. I just felt it. The light turns green for the cars going the opposite way, and this red pickup truck comes barreling through the intersection after the light on his side has turned red. He just kept coming like the light didn’t even exist.

Now, here’s where things go from bad to worse. The lady in the car at the front of the other line didn’t even hesitate. She just hit the gas the split second after her light turned green. No…
