Waking Up at 5 a.m. Every Day for 30 Days Is It Worth What They Say?

I never expected to be a morning person. I used to keep on pressing snooze until it was no point in even setting the alarm. One Monday though, being so upset with this routine, I decided to do the opposite.

Instead of a 6:30 alarm, I set it for 5 a.m. And I wouldn’t hit snooze. Just get right up. And I said I would do it for 30 days 5 a.m.

The first day was real hard for me. It seemed that my bed was holding me tightly. My alarm was like a monster that was intentionally trying to annoy me. But I got up anyway and I noticed a thing right away. Silence.

The world hadn’t woken up yet. No notifications. My cats were even still sleep. So, I had coffee and went outside. Then, surprise. I could just be with myself, which I haven’t done for a long time.

The second day through the seventh were not easy either. I always saw myself tired and in a bad mood. At times coffee was barely working, too.

But after a while, that hour started to feel like it was mine. I wrote in my daily journal. I read. And even walked before the sun came up. And I didn’t sleep as bad as before. Really, I was getting…
