You have to pay attention to other’s behavior in order to protect yourself from being used. Because if your don’t do it, you’ll end up feeling manipulated and fooled, and most probably you’ll lose your kind attitude which would be a huge loss for a world.

First know what are those manipulative behaviors by which others exploit you:

  1. Acting too possessive: When you are helpful to others they want you to be with them always which reflects on their possessive behavior.
  2. Selective attention: They give you attention, care and love when they want something from you, and when you want they disappear.
  3. Playing victim-card in front of you: When they know you care for others, they start to make themselves appear victim in front of you to get your sympathy and care.
  4. They criticize you: They make you appear fool in front of their friends and criticize you when you don’t fulfill their greedy needs.
  5. Not helping you when you actually need them: They usually forget you when you are in need and try to act too helpful and generous when you don’t even need that generosity.

These are the signs that someone is using your kindness for their greed. Now lets look at what you can do to protect yourself from those toxic behaviors.

  1. Make sure you aren’t trying to impress others from your kind attitude
  2. If someone is jealous of you and want to criticize you, try to ignore them especially when they are in groups.
  3. When you are in a situation where you need some help, try to ask for it from those who claims to care for you
  4. If someone is blaming you and making you pressured to help them, avoid them!
  5. If someone is giving you too many compliments which you don’t even deserve, consider ignoring them.

Having kindness in your behavior and being helpful for others is actually a brave personality trait, but being fool from whom anyone can derive something to fulfill their greedy needs is indeed a foolish thing.

“It takes courage to be kind!”

Be kind and strong for real!
