Did you know that in the UK 1 in 4 adults have a side hustle? In fact, the side hustle economy generated £72 billion for the UK economy or about 3.6% of UK GDP in 2018.

So why is there such minimal conversation about side hustles? Are we shy about having an alternative source of income – having a day and night job? Or are we unsure how to scale our ideas? Or are we keen and willing to kick-off but don’t have a clue where to start?

Side hustle – any type of employment undertaken in addition to one’s full-time job

According to research by Henley Business School, over 62% of side-hustling women have started up in the past two years (versus 48% for men). The side hustle economy is booming and doesn’t look to be fading away anytime soon.

So we thought if we don’t start the conversation who will?
