If you grew up in Banashankari 2nd stage (that’s typical South Bangalore for you), you would know Ganeshwar stores. Anything you wanted for the house, you would buy it at this shop. That was the infallible fact until I was about 8 years ago.

Then, a supermarket cropped up two buildings away from them. They survived the hit because everybody in the neighbourhood knows the store owner, Satyanarayan, on a first-name basis.

Then their landlord raised the rent. They didn’t survive that. They moved their shop a lane nearby. Their foot traffic suffered quite a bit because they were farther away from the main road.

Online grocery deliveries came around, and things became worse for them. However, they’re still in business because of the relationships they’ve built with their customers and their ability to source very specific items that keep their customers happy.

Other local businesses that were contemporaries of this store did not survive. There have been stationery stores, a tailor, a pediatrician’s clinic and a hardware store that have gone out of business in the last 10 years. This case isn’t specific to Banashankari 2nd stage- it is endemic to all local businesses. And there are very few survivors like Ganeshwar stores who survive the Brick vs Click battle.

There you have Ganeshwar stores. The only place they’re online is on Google Maps.

Successful businesses meet user expectations through the appropriate placement of relevant results. Brand loyalty among potential customers is intensified through local discovery, which is a distinct leverage in terms of accessibility. Achieving a steady customer base through location-based marketing is profoundly impactful in the long run.

With the sudden spurt in the number of product and service-based companies, it is quite tough to survive the brutal market competition. Local SEO enables better search engine visibility and thus guarantees more customers for your business.

NowFloats enables businesses to get more customers through geographically tagged location-specific Search Engine Optimization which facilitates an impactful online presence. RIA, or Relationship Intelligence Agent, is a NowFloats automated solution that helps businesses stay connected with customers through minimal manual intervention.

Imagine living in a world where you could peacefully co-exist with any other online competitor. Geographically-tagged businesses exhibit an increased level of customer satisfaction. Local SEO is a sound investment as the output generated plays a pivotal role in the growth of your business.

Your biggest strength offline can now happen online- having strong customer relationships with people who are closest to you.
