It’s Not In your Hands Where You Are Born
Or may be it is !
Whenever we are faced with much difficulties within our families, relations, career or other aspects of life, many of us ask ourselves why we were born where we were born. But we never seem to reach any answers.
Some highly conscious Saints like Guru Nanak Ji taught us that a human being is the creator of his own life. He creates his own karmas and then it is the compilation of karmas that decides his destiny in the longer run.
One of the main teachings of Gurbani is ~
“ Sab kuchh ghar mein hi, bahar nahi
bahar dhundhe so bharam pulaai”
Everything is inside of us,
there’s nothing outside. If one looks outside, one is living in an illusion.
Guru Nanak Ji taught that we are all souls and that our souls have long been living in the coverings of religion, nationalities, color etc. This teaching is also akin to the teachings in Hinduism that teaches us that we are Atma (Soul) and we are a part of Param-Atma or Supreme Soul.
Further the scriptures teach us that since ages we have gotten lost in this world of maya or illusion. We have forgotten our true nature and who we really are i.e. the atma (soul).
