Let’s chat!

Making WebAssembly better

Earlier this week on Mozilla Hacks, Lin Clark shared the Rust team’s goals for 2018. One of the major goals is for Rust to become a web language by improving WebAssembly.

Lin explains the planned improvements and shares illustrations that demonstrate their methodology (like the one featured above). Enjoy!

Laurie Voss on Origins

npm COO Laurie Voss was recently featured in Origins, a series of interviews conducted by Ivana McConnell that focus on the experiences of groups under-represented in tech.

Laurie shares his experiences as an immigrant and a member of the LGBTQ community. He also talks about growing up in Trinidad, working at npm, and why representation matters. Give it a read.

ICYMI: A convo with Sqreen

Last month, we spoke with Vladimir de Turckheim, the lead Node.js developer at Sqreen. They’ve developed a security platform for developers and they use npm to deliver their library. Give it a read.
