Latest release: npm@6.8.0
Last week, the npm community team announced the pre-release of the next version of the npm cli, which will be 6.8.0. This version includes an implementation of a recently accepted RFC from the community involving monorepo subdirectory declaration. For the full list of updates, read the release notes.

Anne Kimsey recently joined the npm platform team as a software engineer, keeping the engines that support the npm registry going. Anne was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and claims to be pretty stereotypical Seattleite. She enjoys coffee, the outdoors, dogs, and used books in equal measure. Anne was once once bitten by an eel, but it sadly did not give her superpowers. Join us in welcoming Anne!
