2018, a year of record results for npm

In a recent announcement, we shared that the Registry handles over one billion requests for JavaScript packages per day! We also announced a few new executive team members as well as some of the results from the recent JavaScript Ecosystem survey. Read the full announcement for the more details.

Latest release: npm@6.8.0

Last week, the npm community team announced the pre-release of the next version of the npm cli, which will be 6.8.0. This version includes an implementation of a recently accepted RFC from the community involving monorepo subdirectory declaration. For the full list of updates, read the release notes.

Anne Kimsey recently joined the npm platform team as a software engineer, keeping the engines that support the npm registry going. Anne was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and claims to be pretty stereotypical Seattleite. She enjoys coffee, the outdoors, dogs, and used books in equal measure.
