Employee Spotlight: Spencer Ostergaard
Spencer Ostergaard is a new Area 4 Soil Conservationist as of December 2023. He has done a great job of getting out in the field to Help People Help the Land. Ostergaard has taken charge of finding new NRCS customers by participating in community outreach events. His continued initiative has allowed him to attend Eastern Sierra Pride, Bishop Paiute Earth Day, the local Cattlemen’s Dinner, and has been a part of the local Sage Grouse Working Group.
Ostergaard does this all while completing his Master’s in Land Resources and Environmental Science through Montana State University. His field work for his Master’s is also being completed on an NRCS easement. Ostergaard has shined in opening many doors to do bigger and better things in Inyo and Mono counties.
