Vendors, information booths, music and food were only a few of the festivities that were offered to those in attendance. USDA NRCS hosted an informational booth. Chavez and Sledd talked with half a dozen students who wanted more information about employment opportunities with the USDA. We also met a few new farmers who were pleasantly surprised to hear about USDA programs.

Throughout the day we often heard the phrase, “USDA, I can’t believe that you are here”. We explained to them that we are a welcoming workplace, and we look forward to continuing to support the LGBT Community and not just during Pride.
