The Scary Part

Most of us who use smartphones don’t even stop and think for a moment whether if there is someone watching us through our smartphone’s camera. Currently, hackers can even get dangerous tools without even paying or dealing with someone. Which means anyone can now get those dangerous tools and try to harm someone.

In modern times, there is nothing called privacy. Everything, every system can be compromised. So if someone around you wants to mess with you or even want to harm you then it’s not that much difficult for them.

Experience

I’ve been on this track from 2011 and learnt about these tools, procedures, exploits, etc. I’ve also coded some of my own tools and believe me, they are so easy to code. What I wanted to say is that, even a beginner can now harm someone if they want without much hassle.

I like to share what I’ve learnt and suggest people around me to maintain their securities. But most of the time they don’t even bother and get bamboozled. After that, they come to realize that mistake, but after some time they do the same thing again.

To Be Safe

If you want to avoid being spied on, then you should consider maintaining these things properly. It may feel like an extra hassle, however these can keep you safe from the attackers lurking on the internet. The things you need to keep in check,

  1. Set “Two Factor Authentication” on every account which has this functionality.
  2. Use a complex combination of words, numbers & special characters for the password to reduce the chances of brute force attacks.
  3. Always keep track of what others are doing with your device.
  4. If possible, lock your app installation or your settings app via any Applock app.
  5. Turn off the “Install from Unknown Sources” if you’ve turned it on before.
  6. Use a Virus Scanner from the Playstore and check for any unusual activities on your device.
  7. Try to avoid logging in to any 3rd party websites if possible.

These are some basic steps to avoid getting hacked or infected from a phone. At the very end, it all relies on you whether you stay alert or not. But at the very end, to avoid being hacked,

Trust No One
