Mystery Heightens Around 10KTF (Located in the Otherside?)
Yuga Labs recently debuted a stress test of the Otherside, and it pretty much went without a hitch. But there’s one project that is also showing that they’re super talented when it comes to storytelling and fostering a fanbase that keeps coming back for more. That project is 10KTF.

From a storytelling perspective, 10KFT has been releasing these miniclips that have these loose storylines that leave you hanging. There is a neat story that is evolving in the city of New Tokyo where the 10KTF shop owner Wagmi-San has to protect the shop and there are factions within the community. How will battles evolve? How will alliances form in New Tokyo? The character of Wagmi-San is also very likeable so 10KFT draws you into its world, making you root for Wagmi-San.
I’m loving the way clips leave you hanging but then tie into each other. One clip ends with us wondering about the fate of Wagmi-San.
Then the next clip shows Wagmi-San walking around and opening up mail but we’re not sure what the letter entails until we see a Tweet with the same colored letter which is apparently discussing their partnership with Gucci.
But we still have to wait to see what that entails!
These microstories are perfect in an era of short content. It also seems that 10KFT is aspiring to be a full-fledged animated brand. The animations even at this stage are high quality. This is one thing that Yuga Labs and 10KTF do very well. While their metaverse is being built, they continue building storylines in order to keep the interest going.
On top of storytelling, people have been speculating as to whether 10KTF is a project that is actually located within the Otherside?
Is the floating island seen in the Otherside’s trailer the one we see in 10KTF’s New Tokyo?
Plus, there is this perfect placement at 10KTF’s shop of a Koda “Elixir” bottle that is also shown in the Otherside’s original trailer.

Now, 10KFT first launched in September 2021. Although it is a widely popular project, it’s one that a lot of people didn’t get in early on because in the early days because they were a bit uncertain what the point of it was. At the 10KFT shop, you can purchase blank NFTs that create derivative NFTs from collections that 10KFT has collaborations with. And this list is pretty impressive:
Although this phygital shop was cool, in the beginning of the project, people wondered how this would relate to the roadmap. This still remains a bit unclear, but 10KFT is delivering with partnerships.
It’s now apparent that 10KFT is a highly ambitious project that can’t be summed up with one sentence. They’re a phygital shop, an animation studio, and an engaging game where you can go on missions or Battles in battle.town.
Battle.town allows for you to use an avatar and compete in campaigns. You can also lend out an avatar to go on campaigns for you, somewhat like a staking process where you get rewards.
Now, the price action for 10KTF on OpenSea has been a bit choppy but is holding up nicer than most projects.
I really like how the project is providing unique phygital items, designing metaverse elements, adding gamification and creating a storyline that delivers mystery and intrigue. On top of that, 10KTF is already affiliated with Beeple, Gucci and Puma, Not to mention NFT giants like BAYC and World of Women.
Let’s see what 10KTF has to deliver. I’m bullish on projects that continue to deliver in down markets and can continue to capture intrigue even though 10X gains aren’t going to happen within 72 hours. This is one project you should play around with and see if it resonates with you.
