Pres. Schapiro and Dean Cornelli get ready to visit Mexico

Join the events on December 2nd

A lot of work has been done by the Northwestern Alumni Association and the President’s Office in preparation for President Schapiro’s first official visit to Mexico, bringing with him another prominent figure at Northwestern, 2019-appointed Kellogg School of Management Dean Francesca Cornelli. The visit comes as a result of a proactive invitation from Trustee Fernando Chico (MBA ‘76), who is the first Mexican Trustee at Northwestern and was appointed in October 2017.

During the visit, Pres. Schapiro and Dean Cornelli will spend their time connecting with the local Northwestern community, as well as prospective students, and educational partner Universidad Iberoamericana (Ibero), where Fernando Chico completed his undergraduate studies and has headed the trust since 2005. In an event at Universidad Iberoamericana, Pres. Schapiro will be presenting his book, Cents and Sensibility. Mexican Press will be invited to some of the events in the visit’s program (which you can find at the end of this post).

We’d like to share a little bit about both.
