Nuance Product Update #2

We thought it was time to give a more formal update about stuff we have been doing over the past 8 weeks, for all those that aren’t in our Discord or Forum.

Announcements

We launched a campaign in which we help authors share their articles with a bigger audience. This is an ongoing campaign, visit our forum for details and rules!

New features

• Improved how to manage the topics you follow — you can now manage this via your profile rather than each individual topic page
• Improvements to the home page (landing page), including standard image sizes and alignments, a new view format which displays more articles and a ‘load more’ button
• Authors can now see how often their articles have been visited! We added a view count to the ‘my profile’ screen

• Improved the flow to edit articles. It is now much more intuitive.
• Integrated with the web3 search engine Kinic
• Implemented the feature to tip authors through applauding articles — our first step toward monetisation!

• Added the ability to follow authors, so our authors can start growing their audience on Nuance :)

Bug Fixes

• Images displayed skewed/stretched in some articles (out of proportion), we fixed that.
• Fixed a bug which allowed multiple accounts to register with the same handles but different case
• The primary navigation which expands when clicked on the top right of the Nuance pages sometimes did not react as intended. We fixed this and the menu is now much friendlier to use
• Fixed some smaller registration issues
• Fixed some issues with the article layout. It now looks much better, and we will further improve that soon
• The secondary navigation menu (meatball) was buggy on mobile. Not anymore :)
• Fixed a bug which did not allow editing of articles properly on mobile
• “Copy link to article” was not working in the Brave Browser, this is now fixed.
