Welcome back, everyone!

This release’s big change is the ‘tabs’. You can see that change on the homepage already, allowing users to view articles sorted by:

  • Authors: articles from authors you follow
  • Topics: articles about topics you follow
  • Popular: Most popular articles on Nuance
  • New: Newest articles
  • Search: The search results also show as a separate tab

This makes navigating articles easier, and allows for creating space for multiple views to co-exist while keeping the interface clean :)

And those tabs can be expanded to offer more options in the future!

Upcoming feature: Publications

We have been heavily focused on developing the new “publication” feature, which will allow brands to create a publication to which multiple authors can contribute articles. This feature opens the door for existing publishers and brands to move their content over to Nuance, from things like Ghost or Medium. This is very exciting for us!

The landing page for a publication.

In the meantime, we also shipped:

  • The tabs 👆
  • Fixed a small bug with the login-timeout (we also know that this auto-timeout is too fast, so we will increase that soon so users don’t have to log in every time they visit Nuance)
  • We made it a bit easier for readers to log in and register (e.g. added login/registration to the article screen). This way users no longer have to return to the homepage to log in and can now do so directly from the article page
  • Fixed some bugs in the editor e.g. bulleted lists now work and look way better! So your articles should now already be looking much more professional. More improvements coming to the formatting of articles soon!
  • Improved the author profile screen so articles are now listed in the correct order (reverse chronological)

Now back to the building.
