#AskGaryVee Honest Book Review
I am a 23 yr old startup guy working my way through the landscape and GaryVee’s content has played a big role in how I go about every day, this book included.
As a young person, you are fed a lot of bullshit online and through books and more importantly through University. I think the reason I understand Gary’s viewpoints is because I was pretty similar to him when he was young, especially when it comes to experience in school vs experience out of school and how we valued them differently than our peers.
This book is a culmination of the #AskGaryVee show on Youtube where he answers questions asked by his viewers everyday. These questions range from Entrep topics to family to life but no matter what us Vaniaks know we are getting the real honest answer from his point of view, which is why we respect that point of view so much because its not bullshit.
Although I totally have watched every episode and heard every answer, this book was refreshing and easily consumable. I read both the hardcopy and listened to the audiobook and they actually are very different. I would recommend both, the audiobook has some updated viewpoints as times change fast in this social world.
All in all, you need to read this book. Whether you are a Sophomore in college or a 47 year old sales person, there are lessons in this book that will leave you better off than you were before you started reading. You may not agree with everything, but you will hear a perspective that should not go unnoticed.
