We are happy to introduce Dr. Kevin Scanlon, Professor of Practice and Entrepreneur in Residence at Northeastern. Prior to joining the Northeastern community, Dr. Scanlon received his Ph.D in Molecular Biology from University of London, and had a career that has spanned academic medicine, senior management in the pharmaceutical industry and biotech companies, angel investing, and founding several biotechnology startups.

Dr. Scanlon joined the Northeastern community in 2015 as an Entrepreneur in Residence. After visiting Entrepreneurship programs in the Boston area, Dr. Scanlon picked Northeastern after coming to NEXPO, IDEA’s annual venture showcase, noting the enthusiasm and passion of the students and ventures created by the Northeastern community.

Since then, he has become an integral part of the Entrepreneurship community at Northeastern, especially as an advisor to the Biotech Entrepreneurs Club as well as ventures like 3DFortify. Additionally, Dr. Scanlon teaches an Entrepreneurship Capstone course, Business Planning for Technology Ventures, in which he has created a framework utilizing teams of Capstone students to consult for IDEA companies, creating a mutually beneficial relationship between students and ventures.

We are excited to have Dr. Scanlon in our community, and look forward to continuing to work with him to support the Entrepreneurship community at Northeastern.
