It’s been over a month since New York City, and the rest of the world froze in time. In the “city that never sleeps,” this new reality is nothing short of apocalyptical. Despite unprecedented and precarious circumstances, the NUMA community has emerged more resilient and active than ever, developing solutions to confront challenges on a global scale.

We’re proud to highlight two such NUMA Alumni below:

Dashmote, Summer 2019 Cohort

Dashmote is an A.I.-Powered insights platform that uses Computer Vision to identify consumer trends, thus helping companies increase brand performance in both sales and marketing fronts. Brands such as Unilever and Coca-Cola are among the brands Dashmote is already working with, to great success, in multiple global markets.

Seeing as they work closely with F&B companies, one of the most affected segments in this pandemic, Dashmote quickly adapted their strategy to provide an effective solution for the market. Restaurants due to COVID-19 are rapidly shifting their distribution model to the Meal Delivery channel (Delivery/Pick-up/To-go) and food & beverage brands want to support them but don’t have access to the necessary data. That’s why Dashmote launched a new product called Meal Delivery Radar, which allows individuals and brands to identify bars and restaurants in need and provide them with adequate support!

Homely, Spring 2019 Cohort

Homely is a platform that connects users with trusted housekeeping and cleaning personnel around their area while protecting domestic workers by providing them with social security and healthcare coverage.

As COVID-19 spread in Mexico, Homely started providing an additional service to its users in order to ensure their houses are safe and sanitized. The “Homely Disinfection Service” is a new offering for the sanitization of interior and exterior, adhering to the instructions and recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) to combat SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19, using spray and heat fog tools, disinfectant products, and trained and equipped personnel.

Homely ensures the safety and security of their employees by providing all of their housekeepers with basic supplies to help safeguard their health and avoid contagion.

Finally, Homely launched a support fund to purchase pantry items for housekeepers in various vulnerable populations (over the age of 60, diabetics, hypertensive, and/or pregnant women).

NUMA & Metaprise Join Forces

At NUMA, our mission is to support international startups and empower them with the knowledge, tools, and network they need to enter and scale in the US market. As a global accelerator, we have an unparalleled opportunity to discover, first-hand, the incredible solutions founders are currently developing to fight the pandemic. For this reason, we have joined forces with our partners at Metaprise, to create a special Virtual Cohort for startups that have developed solutions to the challenges of COVID-19. In this virtual cohort, we will connect startups to a large community of investors, mentors, and experts on Metaprise 100% free of cost.

In difficult times, the bar is raised to show us what we can truly achieve. And when we work together, we can do it faster and better.
