Behind the Capture App Rebrand
So far, we’ve introduced Capture App’s new positioning, brand strategy, new visual identity, and every detailed update of the rebranded Capture App. Today, we’ll reveal the birth process of the new-born Capture App, including the initial ideas/plans and Brand Logo transformation to show you how Numbers Protocol and Noir Agency narrowed down and extracted the original spirit of the old Capture App to the current version. Many have been impressed by the outcome, while the process behind it is also worth sharing with our community.
Why Escapism matters when Creativity and Storytelling serve only click-bates on current social media?
Escapism, not procrastination.
Fuel imagination, not algorithm.
As an asset-driven protocol, we aim to create a Creator-First platform that allows creators to untie the shackles of algorithms and truly present the spirit of Escapism: diversion of the mind to purely imaginative activity or entertainment as an escape from reality. This idea sprouts from two lines to a whole product, propping up the core value of the rebirthed Capture App──Storytellers, Enriching, and Supportive.
Being online should be a form of decadent escapism, a place for our imaginations to be let loose. But, escapism is increasingly limited within the boundaries of feeds, likes, algorithms, and viral pressure. We’re only given an airbrushed version of life, lacking depth and layers to the creative process. This lack of storytelling on social media platforms and existing NFT marketplaces means escapism feels more like procrastination. This has been detrimental to creativity.
Capture App is creating a platform where our imaginations can flourish. Getting rid of algorithms, creating editorial spaces for artists, and facilitating fair and inclusive financial opportunities for creators. This means artists can establish a vital emotional connection and create a journey of discovery, curiosity, and inspiration for their tribe.
Different Logo, Same Core. From “Lens” to “Frame”.
In the incubation period, we’ve designed numerous versions of the Logo that manifest the same vision but with different focuses.
Might be the one-and-only chance to see them. Seize the chance!
Inspired by the lens of a camera capturing light, But also the eye itself.
Compared to the latest version, we shifted the focus from “lens” to “frame” for a better combination of the camera frames and the letter C, which stands for Capture.
It’s tough to choose the best among all these masterpieces; however, the feedback from our community proves that it’s the right one. Take a peek at the other candidates!
The refurbishment of a brand is never an easy job. It takes double or even triple efforts to make the new look carry the soul of the original one but, on the other hand, prime with more elements and angles. Nevertheless, it also allows us to re-think “What Capture App could be?” and “How Capture App could help?” as Numbers Protocol keeps expanding our utilities and solutions to the Web3 space.
