Since the inaugural blog post, many topics have been discussed. In recent weeks, the focus has been with NFTs and CaptureClub, our digital marketplace. Today we return back to Capture App and go over the changes made in the most recent 0.27.8 version update.

Improved User Interface / User Experience

Like most commercial applications, User Interface (UI) is a critical component for creating a friendly app experience. In this update Capture App has made modifications to both Capture Wall and PostCapture page.

To Capture Wall, we have added a section where users can view / change their username and profile. We view Capture App as a tool to help creators to create “one-of-a-kind” photos with established ownership, context and immutable records. This sort of tool will reduce the barriers to claim and monetization. As a result, it is extremely important to be able to establish an identify for yourself and your work. A recognizable profile goes a long way to achieving that.

PostCapture has also undergone modifications. Previously PostCapture was a stream of images in the style of traditional social media feeds. We have changed this to Capture Wall style format because we found the Instagram-like feed to not quite fit the Capture Asset identity, which transferrable unique digital assets. We feel that being able to clearly see your collection digital assets and click in to view details is the preferred user experience.

PostCapture is now Capture Wallet

We have rebranded PostCapture as Capture Wallet. We did this for a few reasons. First, “PostCapture” is a term that is not immediately recognizable for the average user whereas “wallet” is synonymous with storing items securely, which is what we are going for. Additionally, with cryptocurrencies becoming more well known, we wanted to utilize terminology that is consistent with what people are used to.

For past few months the team has been working on CaptureClub, our digital asset marketplace, in parallel with Capture App. Our vision for the two is to have both Capture App and CaptureClub work together in establishing an Authentic Media Network. Now when you purchase a Capture on CaptureClub, the asset will be immediately transferred and viewable in Capture Wallet.

Improved Stability

At the foundation of an application is its stability. Since Capture App’s initial release back in December of 2020, we have made significant improvements in this area and the current version is no exception. We will continue to make improvements in this area to ensure Capture App provides the best experience for its users.
