It has been 8 months since we launched the first version of CAPTCH-A.
After a long discussion with the team and advisors, we released Governance Ver. 2.0 — Numbers DAO voting rule on Jul 8, 2022, opened for community review for 10 days.

Participate in the Numbers DAO: Acquire CAPTCH-A
To participate in Numbers DAO, you must be a CAPTCH-A holder. As mentioned in NUM Token Rewards and Utility community review, CAPTCH-A is the official membership NFT of Numbers Protocol. Holding an active CAPTCH-A equates to officially membership in the Numbers Protocol Network. There are 5 categories of CAPTCH-A, each with different roles and capabilities within Numbers DAO.
- Pebble: Community members who want to participate in DAO meetings can burn 2000 NUM to acquire Pebble without whitelisting.
- Snow: Soulbound CAPTCH-A NFT. Have to be on the whitelist and an active contributor to the Numbers project. You can acquire the whitelist by joining our Ambassador program (Tier 1 — Explorer). Can participate and vote in DAO meetings.
- Rose: Soulbound CAPTCH-A NFT. Have to be on the whitelist and an active contributor to the Numbers project. You can acquire the whitelist by joining our Ambassador program (Tier 2 — Overseer & Tier 3 — Guardian). Can participate, vote and propose in DAO meetings.
- Sky: Soulbound CAPTCH-A NFT. Creator Advisor role, whitelist candidates proposed by existing Sky holders. Sky holders should be reputable in the creator community as their feedback will assist Numbers Protocol in creating a healthy and attractive creator network.
- Night: Soulbound CAPTCH-A NFT. Project Advisors, whitelist candidates proposed by existing Night holders. Invited members should be reputable people with extensive knowledge of Numbers Protocol, tokenomics, and other WEB3.0 projects.
To stay at the active member status, holders must continuously contribute to the projects to remain on the whitelist. The active status will be reviewed every 6 months based on the rules of each whitelist. Inactive holders will temporarily be removed as members of Numbers DAO.
The decision to have an “active” component to SoulBound CAPTCH-A NFT is to ensure Numbers DAO contains members actively invested in the health and success of Numbers Protocol. Active stakeholders are best equipped to make critical decisions for Numbers Protocol.
DAO Power
Every active CAPTCH-A holder is considered as a member of Numbers DAO; however, you have to burn $NUM to vote or make proposals.
- You must acquire Snow or higher levels of CAPTCH-A to vote. Voting requires burning of $NUM tokens and it will proceed with quadratic voting rules (i.e. 1 $NUM = 1 vote power, 9 $NUM = 3 vote power).
- Only Rose, Sky, and Night are eligible to make proposals for NumbersDAO. The proposal should be related to their expertise area. The proposer needs to stake 5000 $NUM to propose. If the proposal passes, the 5000 NUM will be refunded to the proposer; on the contrary, the 5000 NUM will be burnt.
- Burnt $NUM will be sent to a collection wallet and be burnt together during the quarterly token burnt process.
- 40% of the minted CAPTCH-A will be set as team preserved.
1st Batch of whitelist for Snow, Rose
We will release the CAPTCH-A acquisition page on Aug 4, 2022, and open for burning NUM to acquiring till Aug 10, 2022.
Pebble will be open to all community members. No need to be on a whitelist.
If you’re eligible for acquiring Snow and Rose, you will receive an email from service@numbersprotocol.io before Jul. 27, 2022.

The First Numbers DAO Meeting
As we mentioned on <Vesting Schedule Update: June 2022>, the first Numbers DAO proposal voting will determine the next move of vesting. Recap the details:
- Subject: Should the pausing of NUM tokens remain with the original plan (resume in September) or be shortened (resume earlier)?
- The full proposal will be published on: 2022–08–01
- Community review period: 2022–08–01 to 2022–08–10
- DAO voting date: 2022–08–11
