We are very delighted to announce our partnership with FreePort Metaverse, the first GameFi project in Taiwan.

GameFi is a revolutionary concept in the gaming industry with decentralization providing an innovative way to help users build trust. At the center of GameFi, are NFTs which provide users with a blockchain backed way of establishing ownership of in-game digital assets. Despite the potential of NFT ownership and its promise of more security, there are issues.

Gamefi and NFTs have become increasingly popular over the past years; however, the increased amounts of NFT scams have become a severe issue for the gaming industry. While the NFT market grew to an estimated 22 billion dollars(from the Dapp Radar) in 2021, more than 7000 people reportedly lost over 80 million dollars from fraud only in the US from Jan. to May.

In the Web2.0 world, it’s never easy to tell the originality of a digital art piece. People on the internet could easily download the creations from other artists, then use, sell and even claim themselves as the original creator. However, there is a perfect role Numbers Protocol can play now.

“ The core concept of FreePort Metaverse is to allow people to easily bring ideas into the virtual world through the application of blockchain technology. We’re not trying to only focus on the copyright and ownership of digital assets but also attempt to blur the borderline between virtual and reality via the Web3.0 tools,” said Sei, the project director of FreePort Metaverse.

FreePort Metaverse recently has released its new application — NFT Maker Gaia, an NFT authoring tool on the BSC chain, which allows users to implement their own smart contracts and open source. By doing so, users could truly own the ownership and smart contract of their NFTs.

With the partnership with FreePort Metaverse, Numbers Protocol provides service to create traceable and verifiable NFTs within the FreePort Metaverse ecosystem through Numbers Web3.0 registration, Capture — Seal — Trace Protocol as well as NFT scan services. FreePort Metaverse NFTs will remain under the care of Numbers services and be accessible via NFT Search Engine. Users of FreePort Metaverse can expect more confidence with their NFTs because of the traceability and verifiability Numbers Protocol service affords them.

About Numbers Protocol

Numbers is building a decentralized photo network for creating community, value, and trust in digital media. Its Numbers Protocol redefines digital visual media as assets and is the backbone of a suite of tools for registering and retrieving images and videos in the Numbers network.

These include:

  • Capture app: The first blockchain camera in the world that users can easily register photos and use Web 3.0 applications.
  • Seal API: Developers and enterprises can implement Numbers API to register photos and access their Web3.0 addresses and certificates.
  • Certificates: content authenticity certificates with on-chain provenance
  • CaptureClub marketplace: Native NFT marketplace which allows photo generators to sell and stake their creations.
  • NFT Search Engine: The first Web 3.0 NFT search engine that helps users verify the history of NFTs and prevent potential NFT fraud.

Numbers champion the purity of digital media and enable people to think more critically about the interactions between our images and the world around us. The goal of Numbers is to tokenize authentic photos (including images and videos) to create a decentralized photo network in Web 3.0.
