Partnership with NFTScan, Bring Authenticity to NFT explorer
We are excited to open 2022 with our latest partnership announcement with NFTScan!
The partnership allows our NFT Search Engine, the world’s first Web3.0 Search Engine for NFTs, to extend its data coverage and connect to NFTScan cross-network NFT explorer to better serve the needs of the community through comprehensive search results.
NFT Search Engine was created to redefine the way we conduct searches on the web. As a Web3.0-based search engine, searches will be content-based and offer transparency results based on traceable and verifiable blockchain records. NFTScan helps to aggregate the cross-network NFT information while NFT Search Engine can and allows NFT Search Engine to take another step to bring trust and transparency to the NFT space.
NFTs should be archived in decentralized storage, typically IPFS, to adhere to Web3.0 standards, ensure the accessibility of the digital content and generate a unique Content ID (CID). There are some instances where NFTs are not decentralized. In these situations, NFT Search Engine will help to decentralize centralized NFTs. As a result, ALL NFTs covered by Numbers Protocol have their own Web3.0 CID. These updated decentralized records are reflected in NFTScan’s Explorer results.
Let us see how this is done:
(1) Go to NFTScan and select a NFT, let’s use CryptoPunk as an example. You will notice that this CryptoPunk is stored in a centralized manner as indicated by its Content URL. In this situation, NFT Search Engine helped to decentralize this NFT by generating an IPFS CID and recording it as Numbers CID. This continuity between platforms helps to maintain decentralization within the NFT ecosystem.
(2) On the result page, find “Numbers CID” session and click on “View”
(3) You will be navigated to the NFT Search Engine and see token history related to this asset file including, Token ID, Contract Address, Creator Wallet Address, and Current Owner. It will also provide direct links to OpenSea Marketplace as well as Etherscan records and NFTScan Explorer Result.
The two-way integration was done via NFTScan APIs and Numbers Trace APIs. This is also a good demonstration of how enterprise customers subscribe to Numbers APIs, pay with NUM tokens and access data on the decentralized photo network.
NFTScan is the first cross-network NFT explorer supporting Ethereum and soon Binance Smart Chain. They offer a suite of services including open API and analytics. Their explorer boasts over 38 million NFT assets, nearly 30K contracts, and over 62 million trading records. These values are updated in real-time to comprehensively capture the activity in the NFT space.
