Welcome to Novembers developer update! The year might be winding down, but we certainly are not. We have lots to unpack so let’s dig right in. If you missed last month’s update, you can check out the developer update from October.
The Dev Team is Growing
We recently onboarded two new developers to continue pushing forward our roadmap and can’t wait to release what they are working on. Let’s give a big warm welcome to Federico and Nicolás as they bring along years of experience to build solid web3 features and DeFi tools.
Numio and NFTs
If you didn’t catch it, Numio recently had some NFT screens leaked
We have a whole new section of the app coming with NFT functionality. View your cool NFTs right from your pocket. (along with some other important features!) — single views, collection view, archive views and more.
The dev team has been working on the frontend UI taking our designs from Figma and Zepplin, and implementing them in-app. We are looking forward to this release and are currently in testing.
Numio and zkSync
We knew early on tht zkSync was going to be a core part of Ethereum’s scalability infrastructure. As more projects jump on to zksync, it makes the sandbox much bigger all around for integration partnerships.
One aspect to highlight is gas costs. We have been amazed by the comments we are getting on how much saving there is to be made in gas cost when using Numio. Next time you are on your confirmation screen, send us a screenshot of your gas and tag us.
Numio is Continuing to Evolve its UI/UX
We want our users to have the easiest and most secure layer 2 experience on the market and doing so requires lots of listening and evolving the application along with it. Making in-app interactions easy and comfortable is key.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane with some ways we have evolved the UI and UX, starting with payment confirmations.
We have been assessing each screen and touch point making the experience as natural and intuitive as possible. If you take a look at the image below, you can see where we started, to where we are today. (Check out that L2 gas fee with zkSync!)
As you can see, it is a world of difference. Each aspect of payment control has been thought out to handle various scenarios, for when transactions succeed, fail or are in progress. This look and feel will be seen throughout the app.
Now let’s move on to permission dialogs. We have implemented new ways to control the permission dialog process making them much more friendly and contextual. The app not only tells you that it needs permission to do something, but now also why it needs permission.
DeFi Integrations within Numio
Our last update broke the news with some sneak peek screenshots of our DeFi integrations which we are quite excited about one of them being an integration with Aave. Strides are being made in this area along with interactions with other token projects, we got our hands on some live demos and things are shaping up.
Numio Docs
We recently launched our documentation initiative, Numio documentation! This brings rich documentation for the Numio app along with In-depth how-to’s and screenshots to perform your favorite in-app functions. Take a look and let us know what you think.
Numio on the Move
As a reminder, Mark will be speaking on a panel about Layer 2’s at DCentral Con in Miami from November 30th — December 1st. You don’t want to miss it.
ETHPortland was a blast, and it was great to meet so many new people. The conference was filled with builders, learners, and creators. If you haven’t yet — you can check out the talk on Crypto Wallet UI/UX & Onboarding by Tim.
