NuNet Monthly Recap: February 2023
Greetings NuNetopians,
Though February may still be winter for much of the world, things have certainly been heating up for NuNet this month. The countdown to Public Alpha, our second Earndrop campaign, and the finalizing steps of our development cycle will all be covered in this monthly recap.
Public Alpha Countdown Begins
NuNet has announced March 31st, 2023 as the launch date for the Public Alpha version of our platform. There are still a few issues that have yet to be completed, and we have made this image to help visualize what remains to be done and how much time it will take for each of them to be completed. More details are available in our recent Public Alpha countdown article.
Second Earndrop With DripDropz
Last month, we announced our second Earndrop campaign, which will reward users for holding NTX in a Cardano wallet and delegating to selected single stake pool operators. Since then, our distribution partner has changed to DripDropz. It is also important to note that users who missed the first snapshot can still get in on rewards for the remaining epochs, up until the final snapshot on March 21st. All rewards will become claimable at the end, starting on March 31st, with claims being available for 30 days before closing. February Development Update
As stated earlier, finishing touches for our use cases for Public Alpha have been made this month. For the Cardano SPO Computing, work has been done on remote shell access and a new p2p networking library (libp2p). For the GPU ML Cloud use case, a system was created for moving tasks started on one device and resuming them on another, as well as a checkpointing system to save the data periodically so that it is not lost if the device running the job is disconnected.
