Greetings NuNetopians,

2023 is off to a tremendous start this month for NuNet. All the critical components for making Public Alpha a reality are nearly complete, as evidenced by the launch of our first Test Campaign to fine-tune the GPU ML use case. This is opening the door for NuNet to support the decentralization of artificial intelligence technologies. Read on for all of this and more in our January recap.

Testing Campaign Launch

This month, NuNet announced the launch of our testing campaigns which will be conducted with the community on our Discord server. The chosen testers will be given the opportunity to earn NTX and NFT rewards if they complete the campaign tasks. The first campaign will center on the GPU machine learning use case, and was explained in one of our Discord technical discussions which can be viewed here.

NuNet Supporting Artificial Intelligence

Our GPU use case has opened the door for NuNet to consider how best to support the booming AI industry. Testing has already begun on running an open-source alternative to ChatGPT on NuNet community provisioned hardware. The recording of the technical discussion on this new use case is available on our Youtube channel. For more information on how NuNet will decentralize AI services, see our recent article on the subject.

NTX Liquid Earndrop

We very recently announced a new Earndrop program we are calling “NTX Liquid Earndrop”. Basically, it will reward users for holding NTX in a Cardano wallet and delegating to specific single stake pools. Rewards will be distributed through TosiDrop. Read all the details in our announcement article.

The Earndrop program aims to reward everyone who aids in the development of NuNet. You can read more about the Earndrop initiative here.

NuNet Team Structure

The NuNet team grew exponentially in 2022, and while we have been announcing the new hires on social media, we wanted to provide a visual that illustrates the current size and organizational structure of NuNet. The image can be viewed here, on the career page of our Gitbook. Remember, we are always looking for more talented individuals to join our team, and instructions on how to make an inquiry are also available in the same section as the visual.

January Development Update

As stated before, development is nearing completion on the use cases we have been working on for nearly a year. For the Cardano SPO use case, authorization for remote shell access has been completed. Relay through the global registry was implemented. Remote shell access was fully integrated and tested. The client interface for the remote shell is done. The team is currently working on documentation and testing instructions for Cardano node deployment.

In regards to the GPU ML use case, the functional aspect has been completed well before mid December with some tokenomics based implementations remaining. Security testing was conducted. The team is now focusing on additional features to enhance the framework. For further details, please refer to our monthly development update article.

NuNet Is Hiring!

NuNet currently has a number of open positions for various roles within the team. If you have the skills and desire to join us in our journey, you can find more information and contact us through our career page.
