Fruits and vegetables are part of a balanced diet. Yet, many are not consuming enough fruits and vegetables. Eating more fruits and vegetables has been a piece of nutrition advice since the ancient Greek era. Fruits and vegetables have long known to constitute the foundation of the Mediterranean diet.

Doctors and dietitians always advise us to eat more fruits and veggies. When you have any modern health issues, such as being overweight, constipation, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, etc., “eat more fruits and veggies” is always a part of the advice. Yes, we know the drill, eat more fruits and veggies.
