JOMO: Joy Of Missing Out
You’re in the moment, enjoying what YOU’RE doing, and not worried about what anyone. else. is. up. to.

You’ve heard of FOMO (fear of missing out)
Well…JOMO is the exact opposite!

There are lots of ways to practice JOMO like:
-saying no to too many plans
-opting out of passionless job opportunities
-disconnecting from social media scrolling

What I LOVE most about JOMO is that it embraces the here and now.

Practicing JOMO Works!
For the past few weeks, I’ve been experimenting with no social media scrolling when I wake up. It’s been a game changer to not only my morning routine but also my outlook on the day ahead…

I’m no longer zoned-out first thing in the morning…looking at other people’s highlight reels. Instead I’m enjoying MY OWN LIFE. I now use that time for inspirational morning reading like Real Magic by Wayne Dyer. New fav book. It’s magical!!! ✨

WOW Challenge:
Do a JOMO DIGITAL DETOX

👉 Track & Cut Back.
Go to settings on your phone. Click battery. It’ll show proportion of battery used by each app in the last 24 hours in addition to time on screen. When you stop to realize how many hours of your day were spent on your phone…major wake up call. Make it a game to try to cut your phone time in half.

👉 Tech-Free Times.
Establish tech-free TIMES such as the hour before bed or the first hour after waking.

👉 Tech-Free Places.
Designate tech-free PLACES such as the dinner table or your bedroom.

Go ahead. Miss out. It may be the BEST thing that’s ever happened to you. xx
