I eat lots of salads. I know a good salad from one that sucks. Please don’t make salads that suck!

Make better salads. Here are my fav 6 tips:

👉Chopped & Tossed. ✂️
The trick to the best tasting salads is to chop ingredients small & toss. it. all. up. Consider this: Put ingredients into a big bowl, chop it up with salad scissors then toss it with these.

👉Something HOT. 🔥
A little hot food in a cold salad makes it more satisfying. Add hot carbs like fries, brown rice, or sprouted bread squares OR hot protein like garbanzo beans or chicken.

👉Cheese & Vinegar.
Instead of dressing, I add cheese & vinegar (or lemon) to salads. Try parmesan w/ red wine vinegar, blue cheese w/ balsamic, or feta w/ a squeeze of lemon. Another salad flavor boost I’m obsessed with: dried oregano.

👉Sunflower Seeds.
These add umami [aka meaty flavor] and crunch. You could also use pumpkin seeds or chopped nuts, but my choice is sunflower seeds. 🌻

👉Fresh Fruit. 🍇
Grapes, chopped apple, or berries add sweetness and research suggests that sweet flavor can help you eat & enjoy more veggies.

Drum roll please…
Hand Salad. 👐
Eat a salad with your hands. It’s messy & low on the manners scale, but more FUN than eating a salad with a fork. #GameChanger

JUST SAY NO TO SUCKY SALADS.
MAKE. BETTER. SALADS.
