It’s so easy to get stuck in the mindset that in order to be successful, get results, or achieve your goals you need to get serious… put your head down… and save the “fun” for later.

But that couldn’t be more WRONG!😱

A new study found that experiencing an average of just 2 simple pleasures daily (each lasting about 5–10 minutes) was significantly associated with IMPROVED PROGRESS ON DAILY GOALS!

BOTTOM LINE: If you want to be successful with your goals, you’ve got to add in a couple SIMPLE JOYS each day to balance out life’s irritations.

The keyword here is SIMPLEthink brief positive experiences that spark joy from anywhere at little to no cost such as…
✨Enjoying a morning cup of coffee
✨Wearing a pop of color
✨Watching a sunrise/sunset
✨Catching up with a friend on the phone
✨Listening to your favorite playlist

Not sure where to start to add more Simple Joys?? Try this:

  1. Start a “joy journal” 📒
Look for the little moments of good stuff throughout the day & write them down in a journal or in your phone. This is how I first started cultivating my own joy & it was a game-changer.
  2. Set a “joy alarm” ⏰
Remind yourself to take breaks during the day to do something that makes you happy or reflect on something you’re grateful for. If it’s not scheduled I don’t do it, so these alarms really work for me!
