90 minutes too long and 40 years too late.

Rocky Shores

In a nutshell, Rocky’s right. He’d say he’s always right; here, I totally agree with him. The film’s too long and Indy’s too old.

While he’s still as suave and debonair as ever, at 81, Harrison Ford does not make a convincing action hero – even if in character is supposed to be my age or so.

Not as bad as its predecessor, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it would be a fine film if it wasn’t so goddamn looooooonnnnnnnngggggggg…

Mads Mikkelsen — completely wasted. Wonderful actor, but poorly used in the film. Too little screen time. Shallow character depth. Shouldn’t have been killed off. COuld have been a wonderful recurring villain. The rest of the cast — nobody’s outstanding, but nobody really sucks either. Don’t hold this movie against them — who wouldn’t want to be in an Indiana Jones movie?
