User Interface Design (UI) or User Interface Engineering (UIE) is the design for the user and machine. In simple word, User Interface (UI) is the understanding between the human and machine.

The main goal of the user interface design is to make the user’s interaction as simple and efficient as possible, in terms of accomplishing the user’s goals. The Good User Interface Design have to finish the task at without creating a unnecessary attention to itself.

The graphical user interface is presented (displayed) on the computer screen. It is the result of processed user input and usually the primary interface for human-machine interaction. The “Touch User Interface” popular on small mobile devices is an overlay of the visual output to the visual input.

Graphic Design and Typography, are utilized to support the usability, influencing the user to use the certain performs in interaction design that delivered to the user’s experience. The design process must balance technical functionality and visual elements to create a system that is not only operational but also usable and adaptable to changing user needs.

User interface design requires a good understanding of user needs. There are several phases and processes in the user interface design, some of which are more demanded upon than others, depending on the project.

Functionality Requirements gathering,

User and task analysis,

Information architecture,

Usability Inspection,

Usability Testing,

Graphical User Interface Design,

Software Maintenance.

All the above are a process in User Interface Design, Mostly it will cover all the part in Designing Material Models and achieving the information delivery method to the user via Interface Design.
