  • Do you spend more time interacting with devices than people?
  • Do you often interact with more than one device at a time?

We encounter ourselves in unexpected times, undoubtedly as we have done many times in the past, we will adapt and evolve.

As we constantly swap one device for the another while navigating from micro-moments (mobile) to extended-focus (desktop) periods of time, digital solutions that are accessible, consistent, complementary, and continuous will have higher chances to succeed now more than ever.

A few basic parameters to keep in mind while embarking on the multi-device design journey:

  • Get to know your user: The context, activity and duration of his tasks.
  • Display size: Scale of the final solution presentation.
  • Proximity to device: Physical distance while using.
  • Device mobility: Is the user on the move?
  • Attention span: What is the average length of time spent on the device?
  • Device features: GPS, microphone, camera, touch gestures?

Consistent Design

Every digital solution should aim to fulfill user’s expectations on accessing the information…
