🧠 Need to know this week…

  1. 🎄 🎅 Midtown is still gridlocked around 5th ave so steer clear
  2. 🧥 ☕️ Spiegel is at it again with Cider & Wax. Hit up Filson on December 17 and bring in your waxed jackets & bags for a Rewax Master Class
  3. Speaking of… Two Wheel Tuesday is at 245 Bowery tonight
  4. 🤩 Check out PaddockNYC for bike parking in the city. They’ll take your exotic car as well.
  5. 🚀 Here’s a jet-powered dirt bike. Happy Tuesday.
  6. 🟢 Ducati released their Bentley / Diavel collab. Meh.
  7. 🚗 Ferrari movie’s coming out this Christmas. Bro-date anyone?

❄️ Keep riding in the winter

I know it’s cold out.

But hear me out.

Winter’s here, and while it’s cold, that doesn’t mean your bike has to stay parked. Riding in NYC in sub-40’s is a different experience than your typical highway or twisty ride. You may not be leaning as much in the city but riding can still be practical.

We’re mostly cruising under 40mph in the city, which makes the cold more manageable. Your rides are likely shorter so wind chill doesn’t really become a thing and the cold is far more manageable in shorter bursts; don’t even need heated gear. Think of your bike as your main mode of transport during these months — it’s less about leisure and more about utility.

Yeah, riding in winter sucks, but change your mindset. It’s not a zero-sum game. You’re not doing 300 mile days; you’re just riding your bike from point A to point B. Throw on a wind-blocking zip up and keep the bike out of the garage over the winter.

Plus, remember last year? We had 50F+ days in January. Keep your bike out and be ready for them so you’re not left complaining that others are out riding when you’re not.

🥇 The NYC MOTO Riders Club

The Riders Club has been mostly flying under the radar but it’s time to open the cage.

Here’s what being a member of The Riders Club means:

🔗 All of the Google Maps links from our ride guides. Simply click on the links and follow the same turn-by-turn directions I did. I include .GPX links as well.

🛣️ A new route every week. There is an email blast that goes out on Thursdays to only those that subscribe to the Riders Club. It features one new spectacular route every week.

🤑 Exclusive discount codes to the 🔥 hottest gear. Some of the discounts are higher value than the free subscribers and you’ll also see some exclusive gear/brands entirely.

🌟 You’re supporting the only newsletter for riders in NYC. I work hard as hell bringing you this content and hunt down brands, routes, gear, and stories I know you’ll love. It’s a full time job and subscribers to the NYC MOTO Riders Club make it possible.

Give it a shot with a 7 day free trial:
