The City has announced Mental Health for All, a new comprehensive plan to deliver universal access to mental health support to all New Yorkers. As part of this plan, NYC Opportunity created a new website to help New Yorkers navigate and access a wide range of city-backed mental health services. NYC Opportunity will continue to manage this website, work with other City agency partners to ensure it meets users’ needs, and support the City’s goal of connecting people to mental health care services.

Nearly 1.6 million adult New Yorkers experience mental illness every year, and the COVID-19 pandemic has deepened and expanded mental health needs.

Mental Health for All aggregates information about the City’s mental health services in a user-friendly and easy-to-navigate format. Filters allow New Yorkers to find services that address their own unique mental health needs. These range from help with anxiety and substance use services to crisis and trauma support. New Yorkers can also find services that help specific populations and age groups.

The Mental Health for All website will be backed up by a public education campaign to raise awareness of the wide array of mental health services available to New Yorkers. Ads will run in multiple languages on buses, bus stops, and subways across the City, focusing on neighborhoods that have been hardest hit by COVID-19.

NYC Opportunity will continue to update the Mental Health for All website with new services and features. NYC Opportunity invites you to visit mentalhealthforall.nyc.gov if you or someone you know needs mental health support. NYC Opportunity also welcomes your feedback.
