Pop-Up Dam Giveaway

We recently distributed 96 ‘Quick Dam’ flood barriers to homeowners in Astoria. The ready-to-use products, which come in 5-foot and 10-foot lengths, activate when wet, quickly grow to full size, are reusable, and safe for both indoor and outdoor applications.

The dam giveaway specifically targeted residents living on flood prone blocks that were severely impacted by the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Also participating in the community outreach event were representatives from the Queens Borough President’s Office and NYC Emergency Management.
